In the summer of 2024, CyberpunK was invited to hold two STEM robotics camps to bridge the digital divide and inspire children’s passion for engineering. One is with our long-term partner – the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) in Taipei. The other is our new partner St. Francis Xavier Home for Children and Juvenile in Miaoli County, made possible through the invitation of our sponsor – ILITEK.
今年夏天建中機研受邀舉辦兩場STEM機器人營隊，目標減少數位落差並激發孩童對於工程的熱情。這次的合作對象之一是我們的長期夥伴臺北的家扶基金會，而另一個則是透過奕力科技接洽的苗栗聖方濟育幼院。
During the camp at TFCF, the children first learned basic programming and LEGO assembly, completing projects like Ferris wheels and flytraps. Throughout the process, they shared design ideas and collaborated, experiencing the power of growth and teamwork. The final competition allowed them to not only learn technical skills but also enhance their communication and cooperation abilities.
在家扶基金會的營隊中，學生藉由摩天輪和捕蠅草等專案學習基本程式設計和樂高組裝。課程中，他們彼此分享設計理念並相互合作，體驗成長和團隊合作的力量。決賽讓他們不僅學習了技術技能，還增強了溝通與合作能力。
At St. Francis Xavier Home for Children and Juvenile, we designed three hands-on courses focused on motor cars, fidget spinners, and climbing mechanisms, enabling children to understand concepts like gear ratios and moment of inertia. The final car race encouraged the children to help each other in competition, embodying the cooperative and competitive spirit emphasized by the FIRST philosophy.
在聖方濟育幼院，我們設計三門實作課程：動力車、指尖陀螺和telescope，讓孩子們能夠透過手作理解齒輪比和轉動慣量等概念。活動最後，孩子們在動力車比賽中學習互相幫助，體現FIRST理念所強調的合作競爭精神。
These STEM camps allowed us to build strong connections with the children and reflect on how to use our expertise to give back to society. We look forward to continuing our partners to promote STEM education in more areas, creating a better future for the children.
